COVID-19 UPDATES/NOTICES

Public Housing Program Only:

Unpaid balances related to COVID-19 job/income loss will not result in late fees assessed or lease terminations being issued at this time.  Balances due will need brought current through payment plans.  Please contact your property manager directly to discuss this.  Lease terminations related to criminal or other lease violations will still be issued.

Let Us Know:

If you experience a job/income loss due to COVID-19, please contact the Voucher Program Section 8 Coordinator or the Public Housing Property Manager to report your change immediately, so an interim rent adjustment can be completed.

Economic Impact Payments:

Filing a tax return is not required. The federal Treasury Dept. is distributing these payments, not the Social Security Administration. Residents should not contact Social Security with questions.

However, residents may have other questions. Many can be answered at our website – socialsecurity.gov – and many transactions can be conducted online by creating a “My Social Security” account, such as getting an instant benefit verification, changing an address, and requesting a replacement Medicare card.

A less desirable option – due to the expected wait time – is to call a local office or our toll-free number, 1-800-772-1213. Please note: Our teleservice center hours have changed to 8 a.m.-5 p.m. M-F. As you probably know, Social Security offices are closed to the public during this public health crisis for the protection of the public and our staff. However, many employees are working at alterative duty stations.
